Sweet poison: How local producers mix detergent, soda with fufu to maximise profit
14th February 2025
Fufu, a staple meal widely enjoyed across Nigeria, has recently been investigated by Sunday PUNCH. This scrutiny revealed harmful additives are used in its processing. This has sparked concerns about the staple safety, with calls for stricter regulations and safer production methods to protect public health.
