Rotary donates science lab to Lagos school

To enhance science education, the Rotary Club of Lagos Island, District 9112, Nigeria, has donated a biology laboratory to the Girls Senior Academy, Simpson Street, Lagos Island.

At the inauguration, the District Governor, Femi Adenekan, tasked the school management to ensure productive use and effective maintenance of the facility.

He added that the project directly addressed the key areas of the Rotary Club’s focus.

“We hope that you will ensure the good use of this facility to the glory of God and the benefit of mankind,” he said.

The ceremony had in attendance the President of the Rotary Club of Lagos Island, Deeksha Hiranandani, among other Rotarians, staff, students and management of the school.

In his response, a representative of the school management, Mr Ileyemi Lateef, assured the Rotary Club members that the school would ensure judicious use of the facility.

President of the Rotary Club of Lagos Island, Hiranandani, said, “I am happy that this has been commissioned today. I was able to make a difference through the efforts of many people and my little contribution.”
