Nollywood actresses, Angela Okorie and Regina Daniels, have continued to drag themselves in the mud online as they engaged in virtual fisticuffs.

On June 3, 2025, Okorie had during an Instagram Live session, noted that she had forgiven another actress, Mercy Johnson, for her “evil doing”, while adding that Mercy should “apologise for all the wrongdoings”.

She said, “I got a news recently that Mercy Johnson is not feeling well and I honestly feel for her and I want the best for her. The kind of sickness they told me she has is not something I would ever want to wish (on) any of my enemies and today, I’ve forgiven her and I will not want to say anything that has to do with her.”

However, Okorie’s statements didn’t sit well with Daniels, who responded by calling her “mad” and saying, “Please don’t forgive because here we don’t forgive. Continue and while at it, don’t forget that she has children. No dey shalaye”

The exchange escalated when Okorie accused Daniels of marrying for wealth. She said, “You married a man who is supposed to be your great-grandfather,” while also stating that “it is the only reason Daniel feels she can disrespect her”.

Not backing down, Daniels wrote, “I married my old man, but he is certainly not your regular old man. He is everything your kind prays for but can’t attract. Don’t get me started on telling the world how you were chasing this same old man.

“Now let your age reflect your reasoning. Clearly, you failed because a girl who once admired you when she was six sees you as nothing to write home about. And for Christ’s sake, stop comparing yourself to me!!! It will be a huge disrespect to me and everyone who supports my movement. You and I are not the same. Not even close. I am bigger than you and your entire music/movie career. Let’s not even mention my mama (Mercy Johnson), whose name rings the loudest bell. I don’t need scandals or shadows to shine.”

Doubling down on her claims, Okorie fired back, “I spend money on my skin, so me and dirty people, ancestors can’t be together.” She alleged that when she visited Daniels in her Abuja home, her husband, Ned Nwoko, gave her the sum of N500,000 and begged her to put his wife in one of her projects.

Refuting the allegations, Daniel claimed that her husband didn’t gift Okorie the money; rather, it was after she begged for his support for her project that he gave her the money.

In the latest development, Okorie claimed that Daniels was trying to arrest her.
