A Germany-based Nigerian woman, Adenike Obaoye, has accused the German authorities of seizing her two children, Noah and David.

She made the allegation in a video posted via her TikTok account on Monday, saying a German court refused to release her two non-German toddlers to her.

The woman claimed that Noah and David were born in August 2021 and July 2022, respectively.

She wrote, “Done with the Family Court at Berlin-Kreuzberg and the German female judge refused to release my non-German children to travel to Nigeria as I demanded.”

According to Obaoye, her children are Nigerians and do not have dual citizenship with Germany.

Obaoye said, “At the court, Germany refused to release non-German children, claiming they want the children to remain in Germany, which is a violation of the children’s rights and a violation of my own rights as their mother.

“I’m a single mother with sole custody of both children. Germans want to inherit children that are not theirs.”

PUNCH Diaspora Tales gathered that the divorced woman claimed the German authorities wanted to use state kidnapping to take custody of her children.

“But this justice will not last. I’m still going to fight it,” she added.

All efforts by our correspondent to get her to comment on the reasons why the court took custody of the children were futile, as she did not respond to messages as of the time of filing this report.
