Singer and songwriter, Chukwuji Eweani, aka CKay, has signed a new partnership with international music distribution and label services company, AWAL. The deal is expected to support the release of his upcoming Extended Play album titled, ‘CKay The Second’, which is scheduled to be released in June 2025.

The agreement marks a new phase in CKay’s career, with the artiste set to exercise more creative control over his music. Known for his breakout hit, ‘Love Nwantiti’, and a catalogue that has amassed over three billion streams worldwide, CKay has enjoyed commercial success across multiple regions.

In a statement shared to Saturday Beats, the artiste described the upcoming release as reflective of personal and artistic growth. “This is not just a new project. It is the beginning of something far deeper,” he said.

Speaking on the partnership, AWAL’s Artist Development Lead for West Africa, Excel Joab, noted that the company sees potential in CKay’s global appeal and artistry.

“We are thrilled to welcome CKay to the AWAL family. With this partnership, we aim to break new ground and elevate his artistry,” Joab said.
